She established the successful community donation program, which has helped many non-profit organizations, As a LEED AP, she has been active in moving the firm towards sustainability efforts.
established Glassworks in 1968. Applying his graphic arts background to the medium of glass has always been his passion. His designs and fabrications can be seen throughout the country in hotels, restaurants, commercial facilities and residences.
He continues to hone his skills in design and ever-changing glass technology. He has spear-headed the growth of the company to include stained glass production, sandblasting and kiln work. As the Director of Design, he continues to be the artistic guide for our talented group of glass artists and fabricators.
James Jay Martell
is Glassworks production manager. He has worked with glass since 1989 and has extensive experience with blown, cast and kiln-formed glass. He has been the head of Glassworks’ fabrication team for over a decade and is the technical expert for all our fabrications and installations.
His vast knowledge of glass includes the composition, compatibility and nuances of the material. As an accomplished glass artist, his work has been featured nationally and internationally.
studied Art History and Theatre Performance at Susquehanna University and has worked in a variety of Fine Art Consulting and Sales positions prior to becoming Glassworks’ Office Manager. She is no stranger to the world of glass, having had experience as a Gallery Assistant at a glassblowing studio
She has always been passionate about the contemporary art world and, thus, enjoys working directly with the artistic team and clients.
has always had a creative mind. He surrounds himself with innovation and art. Most recently, he has delved into the world of digital art. His love of art, along with his fascination in the production of glass, contributes meaningfully on the Glassworks’ creative team. He likes the variety and customization of each glass fabrication.
His favorite part of being a glass fabricator is Research and Development, where he can let his mind explore glass ideas and he is free to test them out.
graduated with a BFA Studio Art and minor in Art History from the University of Central Oklahoma before moving to Seattle in 2017. He began working with glass over 16 years ago when his uncle decided it would be a good experience for them to learn the art of stained glass together. He has moved on from there to make decorative optical glass art.
Ben’s hands-on artistic background has trained him to be aware of the minute details of production that glass requires. The fabrication team benefits from his diligence and love of the material.
